    Hi all ,

I was out taking advantage of clearish skies last night attempting to image
    Eutelsat W1.
This bird suufered a nine hour outage last week and I wanted to see if it
was showing any sign of abnormal movement, or flashing..

The good news is that following a one hour observation...all looked fine.

However , with camera pointing towards the south eastern arc , I was caught
unawares by two brilliant Iridium displays to the SW within a few minutes
    of eachother....

    17 Aug 00:00:08 -5 34° 240° (WSW) 13.4 km (W) -8 Iridium 90

    17 Aug 00:05:56 -4 33° 241° (WSW) 17.0 km (E) -8 Iridium 60

    (Details HA )

.......which would have made an excellent image , had I had the foresight to
    check
for Iridiums whilst watching the geos !! :O(

Ah well , they were certainly spectacular naked eye .

    John.
