Bradley P. Allan e-mailed to me suggesting that what I saw was the ISS. He
is absolutely correct. My STS Plus shows that there was an ISS pass
culminating at 5:07:56 AM PDT at 74 degrees elev. 319.4 azimuth.

So, presumably, the Discovery was in the NW quadrant and in shadow. It came
in over the coast between Oxnard and Ventura from what I heard on NASA TV.
Anyway, I did NOT see the Shuttle Discovery but sure did hear the double
sonic boom. I thought something didn't seem right but jumped to an
erroneous conclusion that it was the Shuttle. What we saw was the ISS and
now it all makes sense. Thanks Bradley.
