I can't be sure of the exact position of the first flash, above or below Hamal as it was that flash that brought my attention to that area of sky. So it well may have been above. "Close" is prob a better description. So, it seems a best fit to me. I did take a quick look at your 16Aug obs report to see if it was there but I guess you were looking the "other way" at the time (for those that don't know or haven't worked it out, Russell lives just the south side of the Forth Estuary from myself.
