It doesn't quite fit your description, but I think the tumbling Iridium, 97-30G #24842 is a likely candidate. It was going southbound, but passed ABOVE Hamal. Time above Hamal was 22:56:17, which is outside your reported range. However this Iridium does give spectacular flashes as the sunlight glints off the antennae.
