I wonder if in the future the community at large will know when the Space
Shuttle is going to reenter or is NASA going to eliminate that as well?
Seems like the public aided NASA a great deal on the last one.

Forgive the naïve question here but, will not having TLEs mean that all
satellite prediction websites like Heavens-Above be a thing of the past or
is there a back-up source of TLE info outside of US sources? Sorry, I have
not been following the TLE discussion in detail so the answer to my
questions may already have been stated.

What about iridium flares? Is the prediction of those going to disappear as
    well? (!)

So much for keeping the American public interested in the American space
    program.

There is always so much talk about ones right to "free speech" on the
Internet and elsewhere, I wonder if any government could even attempt to
regulate TLE information available via the Internet produced by sources
outside their domain? There seems to be plenty of truly wrongful information
available already that continues to be available.
