I wish it were visible to folks farther north, because 
sometimes it's a pretty amazing sight.

Many people in NE North America had better than usual 
limiting magnitudes earlier -- but I guess it was pretty 
expensive....

Mostly cloudy tonight.  Tropical storm "Erika" may be 
heading straight for Paul G. and Allen T. in about 36 
hours -- or so goes the 11:00 PM August 14 EDT forecast.
