You could try ANSI.COM, which can be loaded as required at runtime instead
of the ANSI.SYS driver:
http://users2.ev1.net/~mmccants/skymap66/ansi132.zip
This usually fixes a lot of ANSI driver problems for XP/NT folks.
(For the DOS impaired, this means that you don't have to load it as a
driver with the DEVICE=/DEVICEHIGH= command in your autoexec.bat,
autoexec.dos or autoexec.nt. You can simply put the file into your %PATH%
or local program directory and start it from the command line, or autostart
it from a batchfile (yes, possibly even autoexec.*). Also you can try
loading it into upper memory by prefixing it with the "lh" command if
you're running short on low memory.)
