The EchoStar IX/Telstar 13 communications satellite will be launched into orbit tonight at around 11:31 pm edt or 3:31 UT ( Aug 8 ). Because it's lauched from a platform sitting on the equator, it will have a 0 degree inclination orbit. http://www.sea-launch.com/current_launch.htm It will be parked at 121 degrees west, which means roughly 20 degrees above the horizon for me. So I have a new to try and spot. Next Lauch is Aug 12 - soyuz rocket with a russian military satellite, and the SciSat 1 satellute using a Pegasus XL rocket.
