Hi everyone , As I have had a number of requests to see the animation of UARS crossing the Sun , I have deleted some older files from my website to make room for the video. You can access it here , direct.... http://www.satcom.freeserve.co.uk/UARS.htm The animation is about 1.2mb so for dial up will take 2-3 minutes to load , however you should then be able to save the file to HD if you wish. If you do save to HD , then use Windows Picture and Fax Viewer to view it.This way you will be able to zoom in making it easier to see the tiny object. UARS is "not" the object that passes right to left across the center of the disc....so far that remains unidentified , possibly a bird. The satellite is the very small object which travels roughly 5 oclock to eleven oclock . The event took place on August 2 2003 UARS (21701 1991-63-B) Crosses the disk of Sun. Separation: 0.14d Angular Velocity: 37.8'/s.
