Useful page. I have succeeded in capturing the ISS with Mars also in the frame using an old Minolta A5 handheld with 100ASA 35mm film at f2.8 at 1/500. So it can be done if you do not have sophisticated equipment! Unfortunately I have not been able to scan the photo yet but hope to do this in the next day or so. Has anyone photographed an ISS pass simultaneously with an Iridium flare? We had a simultaneous pass predicted this morning with similar azimuth but the ISS was not seen owing to too much light interference, and even if it had been visible the separation between it and the flare would probably have been too great for a picture.
