    Observations made 20 May 2002.
    ------------------------------

CoSaTrak 1, 85mm focal length f/1.6 lens with 0.003 lux CCD
surveillance camera.(1004X model sold by RFConcepts).

First impressions of the new setup are that I have gained about a
magnitude in sensitivity with a lot less background noise.

    Notes:
    (1) 94-057A running one minute late on current elements.

    (2) I have changed my technique for measuring positions. A suitable
video frame is captured as a BMP file and then converted to a FITS
file with the appropiate WCS header and the satellite position
determined in a FITS viewing program. This removes the need for the
satellite to cross a stellar "finishing line",or pass close to a
star-ie I can determine the position anywhere in the field of view
provided I have two identifiable stars to enable the WCS header to
        be computed.

    (3) Still to report:
        NOSS 2-2 triplet
TIPS - beautiful long track - quite easy
        NOSS 5A
        DMSP B5C-04
        DMSP B5D2-7
NOSS 5D ( may have been too faint for the video system to record)

        Cheers
        Greg
