Wow! - that was the first continuously flashing satellite I have seen, it was doing the 4-step. It was going (bright - 0.5 mag dim - bright - 3 mag. dim - bright) etc with 1.5 seconds exactly between brights when I timed it over two 10 second periods. And it was bright, I think it may have reached 2nd mag.
