Just kidding. Actually, towards the end of an 83 deg pass of Mir, I noticed a brighter object in the same vicinity. Seemed to be about mag -2 and disappeared after 10-15 sec. I thought it might have been an iridium (none was predicted), but then it flared again for several seconds. Tried to time it, but it didn't reappear after the second flare. Figured out later it was Cosmos 2344 and it transited the Moon after I lost it, but I didn't have my scope out and don't know if it would have been visible against a crescent Moon. Hope someone finds this interesting.
