Hi All, Based on Leo's observation of 18 August, my prediction was only off by a couple minutes. Here, then, are the predicted peak flash times for selected European locations on Wednesday morning, August 23rd. Flashes should be visible for at least 5 minutes or so centered on the times given below. When a range of times is listed, it is because it depends on your location within the country. Flashes are moving from southwest to northeast, so use that as a gauge. Here are the UTC times: Portugal: 3:10 Spain: 3:10 - 3:15 France: 3:14 - 3:19 London: 3:18 Edinburgh: 3:19 Belgium: 3:19 Switzerland: 3:19 Netherlands: 3:20 Western Germany: 3:20 Western Austria: 3:20 Italy: 3:18 - 3:21 If you read this message in time and wish to look early Tuesday morning, subtract one minute from the above times.
