Last night Mike McCants and I hoped to see Tele-X (89-027A, 19919) again but were not successful in spite of watching for at least 20 minutes. So either it flashed before we began looking, or much later than the previous night, not at all (doubtful), or it was not Tele-X that flashed every 188 seconds the previous night (doubtful). Intelsat 512 was pretty much as expected -- a very nice, bright near-geo flasher. Both NOSS 2-1 and 2-3 trios were pretty much their ordinary faint magnitudes. Observing location was 30.314 N, 97.866 W, 280 m. Thanks again very much to all (about six people) who sent the Sept. 1996 SeeSat messages! I'll be out of town this weekend, so it may be a few days before I get to check out all of what you sent.
