Matthew Fawcett:
Incidentely I've been trying to see TiPS, without success. I've
located dim NOSS passes no problem but TiPS consistenly evades me.
Watch out for the elsets - they may not be up to date. When they are I've had
problems only trying to see it with binocs; don't know if it was just not in
the predicted position or if it was too dim. However I have caught it several
times in a 12.5"scope. That's unnecessarily large but if you do have a scope
with a 1 deg fov or so, try to catch it 30 or 40 deg above the horizon - it
moves much too fast at the zenith although I have ambushed it there and caught
it zipping through. It is quite a sight.
