Radio transmissions again detected from Progress M1-3 on 7 August 2000 in Sollentuna, Sweden: 2303.20-2309.00 UT: CW very strong 922.75 MHz 2303.55-2307.20 UT: FM-TM very strong 166.0 MHz This observation agrees very well with the element set just published by NASA OIG within the the last hour: Progress M1-3 1 26461U 00044A 00220.88436178 .00022375 11466-4 58784-4 0 84 2 26461 51.5783 236.1897 0018816 269.1138 90.6859 15.96465969 186 This elset gives: h=271.4-296.5 km, Nodal period 90.137 minutes. It took OIG more than 24 hours after launch to come up with a valid element set, but for Progress flights the simple rules of thumb are that: * Rough reception times in Northern Europe the first day are computed by adding multiples of 90 minutes to the launch time. * Reception times the second day are identical to the first day - if all maneuevers are successful. These rules were true this time also!
