We observed IR-70, predicted to flare 2.VIII.2000
21.53:55,6Z by IRIDFLAR using elset 286. It flared
a few seconds later and fainter than predicted -7.6mag
    (saw brighter ones before).

How do you estimate brightnesses like the IRIDIUMS reach?
There are no stars for comparisation.
    I understand, a nice software and a tracked CCD-camera
    would do the job...

IŽd like to ask the same questions like Wayne Hughes, too.

    Regards and thanks
    Dennis
