Hi folks: Just back from a 10-days trip in Iran. Chanced upon Iridium #15 -8 mag flare in Esfahan(32.658N,51.671E) 7/22 21:49:52 pm while waiting to be served in the open air restaurant. Three nights later 7/25 21:40:53 again saw another -8 flare from Iridium #17 while out in Chadegan(32.770N, 50.627E) in dark sky while the rest of the group is watching Comet Linear 1999/S4. On both occasions the flares were not far from alpha Bootes and I managed to point out both to Daniel Fisher. I have chanced upon iridium flares before but not in such combinations. rgds ykChia Singapore http://www.geocities.com/ykchia_1999/ ----------------------------------------------------------------- Unsubscribe from SeeSat-L by sending a message with 'unsubscribe' in the SUBJECT to SeeSat-L-request@lists.satellite.eu.org http://www2.satellite.eu.org/seesat/seesatindex.html
