Those "I saw Mir reports"

Now that Mir is unmanned it would be helpful to some on this list and to a few others on other space-related lists (i.e., FPSpace) to report "unusal" sightings of Mir which might indicate that it is no longer in a stable attitude.

Indications of attitude problems, of course, could be periodic flashing, undulations in magnitude, etc. Measurement of the flash period would be helpful in determining if the rate is changing.

It's doubtful that the RSA will report attitude problems in a timely manner. It's my understanding that the RSA is only monitoring Mir a few hours a day.
