Ir 27 tum - 8/26/98 20:49:30 to 20:53:00 took several estimates of
flash period and
got from 16 to 21 per minute with a couple of brilliant mag 0 or
better
    details below.
 01:49:44 Brilliant
 01:50:12,14,20,23,25,30,34, LOST 8/22s 24/min FP = 9/MIN
 01:52:05 Brilliant
 01:52:11,15,18,22,26,30,34,37,42,45 11/40s 16/min
 01:52:48,53,57 3/8s = 21/min
most of these flashes were mag 2 to 3. It kept winking as it sank into
the north mostly
mag 3's at 01:52:48 on

Question- what's a good time period to calculate flash period, one
minute? two?
and is it better naked eye or with assistance (10x40's). How
significant are the
   bright flashes?

ETS 7 - 01:55:20 to 01:58:18 not visible to naked eye but two can
still be distinguished
with good 10x40's and very close to each other .5 to
1degree.

24950 Ir 31 21:11:45 for a min or two. no flashes.
