Observed the highly elliptical orbit CZ-3A r (22997, 94-10C) tonight. It was
flashing with about a 6 second period. Near mag -2 at its brightest (but it
was hazy from an earlier thunderstorm so it's hard to say exactly).

CZ-3A r (PRC) 24357 x 196
1 22997U 94010 C 98219.18361214 .00029807 -63390-6 11244-2 0 7613
2 22997 27.4885 180.2392 6475942 48.9690 351.1532 3.40789215 45887

It will have another evening pass and be near perigee again over So. Calif.
on the evening of 8/16. I will try to get a better timing of its flash
period then.

I notice that its perigee is ideal for observers in Hawaii.
