On Jul30, 01H29 ,Pierre Neirinck observed a mag + 7.5 fragment , .5 deg=
N
of MIR , I identified as 86017 JM (23690).He called it MIRETTE ( the next=
day,
a lost she-cat adopted Pierre and therefore was baptised MIRETTE).
Strangely , this object was already observed ten times by Pierre in 1995=
=2E
Its original mean motion 15.5746 has only increased to 15.6177.THis
suggest
a very hight density. Will it outlast MIR ?
As Pierre demonstrated from his obs. and analysis , EIGHT fragments
converged backward to a same EQ.Xing ( Equatorial crossing time):
1995 294.297 , correspondind to an Extra Vehicular Activity
Some of the fragments were observed simultaneously by Rainer Kracht.
In Nov 1995 , Pierre found the following densities relative to 86017JT=3D=
1
=
A(MIR) 18 +/- 4
JL 4.1
JM 27
JN 9
JP 6
JU 11 +/- 3
JQ 10
JR 6.2
JS 5.3
The latest sighting of JM confirms that it was not swapped with another=
=
fragment as it frequently happens.Pierre s last 1995 sighting was Dec=
24
mag +6 to +8 with a 4 sec photometric period.
