Actually, this should read Progress TM-23. Tonight, 18.08.96 at 20:27 UT, I saw
Mir followed by a second, less bright object, about 10 seconds later, along
the same trajectory.

I was actually waiting for TM-24 which should fly BEFORE Mir, but I didn't
see it. So this must have been TM-23.

An easy, naked-eye object, even in the heavily light-polluted sky of the
Paris suburbs.

If this was indeed TM-23 it should be visible the coming days as well.
