Non-launch of METEOR

As many of you may have heard by now, the METEOR/Conestoga launch
did not take place last weekend (Aug 12/13) as planned. Saturday's
attempt was scrubbed due to high altitude winds. Sunday's
countdown went as far as "T minus 1 minute 38 seconds" before being
canceled, much to the disappointment of myself, my daughter and
several hundred other onlookers! The cause was a drop in hydraulic
pressure in several of the solid rocket motors.

As of Aug 17, the Wallops Flight Info Recording at (804)824-2050
was saying that no date had been set for the next launch attempt.
(Perhaps not surprising with Hurricane Felix lurking about!)
