I use a small program, toms.exe, to convert bad files.
I have also written one myself, inputle.exe, which removes
extraneous lines from a captured dialogue or OIG database
search, and adds a first line, if missing.

I have uploaded them to the RPV BBS, but I will send them to
Neil Clifford's ftp.physics.ox.ac.uk  also.
