Thank you for the welcome and greetings to everyone on the list!

As requested, please allow me to introduce myself. My name is Ray Dabkowski
and reside in semi-rural Chesterland in Northeast Ohio, USA. I've been
observing since the days of the Echo balloons back in the early 60's.
I also am an Amateur Radio enthusiast (Callsign: N8KBF) and enjoy radio
contacts with other "Hams" via satellite. Really love these summer evenings
when the observing window lasts long into the night.

For observing, I use 8x50 binocs, a C90 spotting scope and share an 18"
Dobsonian telescope with a friend -- money is tight! ;-) For tracking at
home,
I use an Amiga running SatTrack4.0 and also a '486 PeeCee running a variety of
tracking programs. At the office, I also use Mac's and a Sun Sparc.

I'm really excited to have found this mailing list, and the excellent Web
pages. This will bring the hobby/science to a new level. I look forward to
the fun and hope I'll be able to contribute in some way. Please feel free to
email back to my address to introduce yourself.

Thanks again, and good observing to all...
Ray (rayd@en.com)
