Well. Thought I had seen Starlinks flare, but tonight proved many of the ones seen before passing in the NW were just bright - when the many real flares shown below lit up. The 2 listed at -8 were as bright as any old school Iridium I've seen. Later, the flares started again with the last 3. Typically, the ones that flared returned to their normal mag of 0 to +2 (too dim to see for the last 3) afterwards. Duration of the actual flares seemed to be 2-5 seconds max. 1278, 1280, and 1277 made a very bright giant NOSS trio as they passed overhead. The 2 seen at 5th mag were with binoculars, the rest naked eye. Added code for visual behavior (S= steady, L= flare). Times at right are for flares or magnitudes at a time different than culmination. These were all from 8336 (TULSA1).
