    hi,

I have been trying to observe RESOURCESAT-2 during its pass over India. I'd
just like to share here a press release posted on the ISRO website on April
    25, 2011 -
    http://isro.gov.in/pressrelease/scripts/pressreleasein.aspx?Apr25_2011

think this confirms what you guys witnessed of an orbit trim being done on
    April 23 -

    > Orbital trimming manoeuvre was conducted successfully on April 22, 2011,
    > and RESOURCESAT-2 is now placed in the final orbital configuration in a
    > sun-synchronous polar orbit with perigee of 813 km; apogee of 825 km and
    > inclination of 98.78 degree.

    >From the language in the press release this seems designed to save about 20
kg of fuel rather than a mistake in PSLV's satellite injection. We saw a
slight deviation in PSLV's flight path after the third stage ignition but it
seems the deviation was not too much.

The press release also has basic orbital information.

    warm regards,
    Pradeep
