    That's right. And guess what - they also had icecream tarts as a special treat 
    after the launch! After all it's the ESA Ice Mission.
    
    That was the weirdest launch I've ever seen with this rocket coming out of the 
    silo.
    
    Unfortunately the sky here doesn't seem to clear up in time for the first 
    Cryosat pass visible so I probably have to wait a few days. Observing 
    conditions will get better toward the end of the month. If any of you got 
    clear skies there should be three objects out there as there was not just the 
    upper stage and the satellite but also an extra thrust protection shroud due 
    to the strange pull-rather-than-push method.
