Since the sky finally cooperated, with a night I was off, I went and observed the Milstar 6 geo sat flare. Easy to spot in my 10 by 50 binoculars, as it buzzed a Mag 5 star. Time was 5:32 UTC Video of it buzzing the star. http://www.kfetter.com/satvideo/geoflare/27711.wmv File size is 10 Mb. Star was TYC 4972 1456 ( Tycho star Catalog ) located at RA (J2000.0): 13 31 57.95 declination -06 15 20.6 Milstar 6 appeared in the magnitude 7th range. It's nice the flare last's awhile. I then later observed milstar 6 passing near Syrma located at RA (J2000.0): 14 16 00.88 declination -05 59 58.3 Milstar 6 passed by it, at around 6:17 UTC. Milstar 6 was placed into orbit, 5 years ago this month.
