I used the mount to track THURAYA 1 ( 26578 ) last night, to see when it would flash slowly. Hndy
as I was at work, so this way I don't have to waste a clear night.
After I started to play back the video, I notice a flashing satellite.
At 6:45:04 UTC, this nice flashing sat buzzed a faint star.
The star it buzzed is
TYC ( Tycho star catalog ) number 5675 665 located at
RA (J2000.0): 18 07 33.78
declination -09 10 40.6
Don't look like bird, to me.
So far I don't get a match with anything. Either I missed something, are it's a unid.
It's faint, so getting positions will be difficult. So I don't expect to have to much luck.
Now back to checking the video, for THURAYA 1 slow flashes.
Kevin
