Hi all, This was a cool evening! I was treated to 4 flares by 3 satellites occurring within a 15 minute time span. And all on photograph! 22 Apr 20:41:54 UTC: modest Lacrosse 4 flare of +1; 22 Apr 20:44:33 UTC: slow -0.5 flare of USA 186; 22 Apr 20:45:26 UTC: quick 0 flare of USA 186; 22 Apr 20:57:15 UTC: cool -5 flare of Iridium 03. Images are here (also including a 5th Iridium 61 flare catched this morning): http://sattrackcam.blogspot.com/2007/04/4-flares-in-15-minutes.html The Lacrosse 4 flare was predicted to within 2 seconds of time correctly by Phil Masding. He also correctly predicted a mag +0.5 flare of yesterday. Images of this latter April 21 flare (plus a.o. yet another USA 186 flare) can be seen here: http://sattrackcam.blogspot.com/2007/04/timing-re-calibration-and-another-flare.html As usual, positions obtained this evening will follow later (probably tomorrow). To quote cartoon dog "Droopy": "I'm happy, hurray....". - Marco ----- Dr Marco Langbroek - SatTrackCam Leiden, Cospar 4353 Leiden, the Netherlands. 52.15412 N, 4.49081 E (WGS84), +0 m ASL SatTrackCam: http://home.wanadoo.nl/marco.langbroek/satcam.html Station (b)log: http://sattrackcam.blogspot.com Atom RSS: http://sattrackcam.blogspot.com/atom.xml e-mail: sattrackcam@wanadoo.nl ----- ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Subscribe/Unsubscribe info, Frequently Asked Questions, SeeSat-L archive: http://www.satobs.org/seesat/seesatindex.html
