This observation from martin Lewicki, an experienced observer and member of my local astronomical society. He thought it was 2 iridiums flaring. but that didnt check out, but Noss 3-3 did when I used Heavens Above to see if any of the NOSS 3 pairs were to blame. Tony Beresford After taking some exposures of Venus in twilight on the beach I turn back to the house and was surprised to see two -5 mag "stars" in Centaurus region. They were about 3 degrees apart and very slowly moving together SSE, fading after about 30 sec. I must have spotted them just as they were at maximum brightness. [15/4/2007 18:51 CST ] If only the camera was still setup :( Tony, which ones were they? Reminds of my observation of triple Iridiums back on 19 June 1997 when they crossed the star field of Canis Major. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Subscribe/Unsubscribe info, Frequently Asked Questions, SeeSat-L archive: http://www.satobs.org/seesat/seesatindex.html
