    Many thanks for all the comments and suggestions.
    
    The odds are certainly stacked  , but if conditions oblige , I'll give it a
    go and see what happens.
    
    Thomas and Bjorn , glad to hear you are expecting delivery of Meade scopes ,
    I'm sure you'll have great fun with them.
    With my LX 90 I use a ToUcam , which I find excellent for ISS work.
    Having captured the station at 400 X magnification , and also as a standard
    long exposure I hope eventually to grab a transit to get the "full set" :O)
    
    Thursday's solar transit is probably my best bet......but you can guarantee
    it will probaly be cloudy :O(
