Correction.  I wrote:

Thank you to Tony Beresford for letting me know that 
those coordinates could not be correct.  The correct 
location is:  35.242S, 149.158E, 600m.

The result so far leaves the object as UNID, and the 
observer did get some photography -- but may have made 
a mistake with the time, which may be ascertainable 
via the images.
