Hello Scott, I am rather sure you observed IRS-P2( 1994-068A ). My last observation was at about 20 21 UT. Then I counted 45 flashes, orangeish, in 129.20 seconds. Average flash period is 2.87 seconds. I have the impression every fourth flash is brighter than the others. Since the interval of the maximum is so short, this object is very difficult to see without optical aid. I tried last time, but it may be suggestion that I saw it. Happy observing..Bram Dorreman. -----Original Message----- From: Scottdalton4@aol.com <Scottdalton4@aol.com> To: SeeSat-L@satobs.org <SeeSat-L@satobs.org> Date: maandag 7 april 2003 4:19 Subject: help with id. >Hello, this evening I was looking for Cosmos 1447R and came across what I think was IRS-P2( 1994-068A ). It was nearly invisible in my binoculars but it flared 5 times within a matter of 15 seconds. Am I correct in my identification? Is this known to flash or flare like this? > >Scott Dalton >39.6731 -75.7239 > >----------------------------------------------------------------- >To unsubscribe from SeeSat-L, send a message with 'unsubscribe' >in the SUBJECT to SeeSat-L-request@satobs.org >List archived at http://www.satobs.org/seesat/seesatindex.html > > ----------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe from SeeSat-L, send a message with 'unsubscribe' in the SUBJECT to SeeSat-L-request@satobs.org List archived at http://www.satobs.org/seesat/seesatindex.html
