Notes:
~~~~~~
(1) Following information received from Mike McCants and Rainer Kracht I
observed the geostationary satellite USA 149 aka DSP 20. This satellite
is normally invisible in my equipment but was predicted to start
flashing at around 22h38mUT for about two minutes. This took place as
follows:
Time (UT) No. frames visible
--------- -----------------
22h38m02.2s 1
22 38 12.3 2
22 38 22.3 2
22 38 32.4 2
22 38 42.4 3
22 38 52.4 3
22 39 02.5 3
22 39 12.5 2
22 39 22.5 2
22 39 32.6 2
22 39 42.6 2
22 39 52.7 2
22 40 02.7 2
The flashes were of short duration and reached about magnitude +3.
The video frame rate is 25 per second.
(2) The other DSP above my horizon (DSP 15) could not be observed as
neighbours house in way - he wasnt prepared to let me blow it up
to remove the obstruction.
(3) Many thanks to Mike and Rainer for alerting me - it was worth staying
up late for it.
Cheers
Greg
