I saw the Shuttle and ISS last night from Houston. Picked them up about 10 degrees off the horizon (Shuttle -1.0 mag, ISS -0.5 mag, approx.) and followed them until they dimmed for 2 seconds (one after the other), and then blinked out just north of Leo. Did they dim because their reflected light going toward my eye was being reduced because of the Earth's atmosphere before they moved into the Earth's full shadow? ---sue ----------------------------------------------------------------- Unsubscribe from SeeSat-L by sending a message with 'unsubscribe' in the SUBJECT to SeeSat-L-request@lists.satellite.eu.org http://www.satellite.eu.org/seesat/seesatindex.html
