Picked up Envisat tonight at 21:10 my time as it passed chi Draco. It was about the brightness of that star when I first saw it (Mag. 3.6) but quickly faded to what I guess was a magnitude of 5 or even less within no more than a minute. I watched it through my 7 x 35 binocs. I would not have been able to see it otherwise. The sky glow was too bad. Last night I did not see it at all even through binocs. I didn't have an exact star to line up with to wait. It looked like the color of a red giant--a little orange. Tonight the comet was somewhat close to M31 too! It was closer last night but it was cloudy here. :~( Tom Iowa USA ----------------------------------------------------------------- Unsubscribe from SeeSat-L by sending a message with 'unsubscribe' in the SUBJECT to SeeSat-L-request@lists.satellite.eu.org http://www.satellite.eu.org/seesat/seesatindex.html
