After about a year of getting excellent results using an 8" LX200 with Csat and LXsat, I tried using a friend's ETX90-EC to track sats. It has a built-in feature for this, but we were unable to track any sats with it. We also tried using Csat with it and got the same results. I believe all the Meade scopes for less than $1,000 have controllers similar to the ETX Autostar, so I wouldn't suggest getting any of those scopes for computerized sat tracking based on my experience. If someone else has fared better, I would like to hear about it. IMHO the 8" LX200 with CSat or LXsat is the way to go, but I'm single.
