About April 24 launch STS101 Atlantis: note also the launch window is only 10 minutes long ! By the way, according to present launch info , GOES-L weather obs satellite is to be launched early morning on May 3rd with an Atlas rocket, followed May 4 by the landing of Atlantis space shuttle. If this schedule and weather forecast is still good/confirmed by May 2nd, this may be THE 48 hours to spend at Cape Canaveral. I might be there, based on info (launch, weather) I will gather May 1st. Actually, I fly May 1st to Dallas to start a tornado chase online travel journal in Oklahoma ( see http://eclipse.span.ch/tornado.htm ) but if launch info is good and weather is good and standby airline cost is good, I might do a quick escapade to Orlando and Cape Canaveral to see both the launch of GOES-L and the Atlantis landing. Pictures would be available from above site.
