Telstar 401 Observation

    Very short note, primarily to those on the west coast.?  Telstar 401(93- 77A, 
    22927) made a very impressive appearance over So. Cal. last night.  Several 
    flashes were probably visible at 1X from a dark location.  I am not sure 
    exactly what time it started flashing, but I observed it between 05:45 and 
    07:23 UTC.  Interesting thing about this one are the double maxima that I 
    have been seeing that have not been observed by others to the East.  The 
    period (or some multiple of) is somewhere around 162 seconds with an 
    estimated 5 second spacing between the double maxima.
