Very short note, primarily to those on the west coast.? Telstar 401(93- 77A, 22927) made a very impressive appearance over So. Cal. last night. Several flashes were probably visible at 1X from a dark location. I am not sure exactly what time it started flashing, but I observed it between 05:45 and 07:23 UTC. Interesting thing about this one are the double maxima that I have been seeing that have not been observed by others to the East. The period (or some multiple of) is somewhere around 162 seconds with an estimated 5 second spacing between the double maxima.
