After a couple of days of cloud, the skies cleared up just as it was getting
dark. I went out to see if i could observe the recently launch Globalstar
rocket, no luck. I did luck in as i was waiting, a bright glow caught my
attention. Looking straight up i saw a flare of about -4 magnitude, there
was some high thin cloud but it didn't hinder my observation. I followed the
object as it passed through the cup of Ursa Major and thought it was an
Iridium at first but it remained visible and it wasn't on a true north
heading. After trying to observe the Globalstar r i went in and was able to
ID the flare as USA 86 #22251, the time of flare was 05:01 UTC.
