Pegasus/TRACE launched

Well, apparently the Pegasus/TRACE launch went ok.  I had a very
clear view of both the L-1011 and a chase plane in my 30x spotting
scope from my location about 10 miles north of Monterey.  A clear
view, indeed, until both planes abruptly disappeared behind a massive,
ugly dark grey cloud at 6:41pm local time.  According to sources on the
web the launch went off one minute later.  I saw no 'TRACE' of it (heh).
Had the launch occurred at the 'preferred' 6:40 time, I would have seen the
drop and ignition easily.  Oh well, maybe next time.  Mother Nature
played a good April Fool's joke on me, that's for sure.
