I'm beginning to think UFO's are disguising themselves as satellites.
At 08:27 UT 23rd April an object was seen about 4 deg north of Alphard
travelling east in an almost equatorial orbit as near as I could judge.
It was flashing to mag2 with a 1.6 sec period. It looked so new and
shiny
it must be still under warranty. :-)
I waited for the latest elements in Alldat, Elxxx, Csxxx, altogether
over 8000 sats. Still no candidate.
Secret launches aside, how long does it usually take for elements to
filter through?.
I think we need people near launch sites to report all launches seen,
perhaps then we might get on top of things.
